What Is Single Sign-On?


Single sign-on (SSO) is an authentication method that enables users to securely authenticate with multiple applications and websites by using just one set of credentials.


How To Login To Liftango App Through SSO


Upon opening the application, a user is directed by default to the Passenger Login page. 


By clicking Sign In for the first time, user will be redirected to the SSO login page (using the device's default browser) wherein they have to input their credentials. Once logged in, the credentials will be stored in the browser and the screen will go back to the Liftango Passenger Login page.


Click Sign In again to login to the application. By the next time that they will be logging in, once the Sign In button is clicked, it would proceed in the application homepage; they won't need to enter the same credentials as it has been stored in the browser.


To login as a driver, simply click the I'm a Driver button to be redirected to the Driver Login page.


How To Clear The SSO Cache On Your Mobile Device


In any case that a user will be logging in using a different credential, the SSO cache will need to be cleared to remove the stored login details.


To clear the SSO cache on an IOS device (Safari browser):

  • On your phone or tablet, go to Settings.
  • Select Safari
  • Tap Clear History and Website Data

       

Note: The same steps can be followed for Google Chrome if it is the default browser set for an IOS device


To clear the SSO cache on an Android device (Chrome browser):

  • On your phone or tablet, open the Chrome app.
  • At the top right, tap More.
  • Tap History. Clear browsing data.
  • At the top, choose a time range. To delete everything, select All time.
  • Next to "Cookies and site data" and "Cached images and files," check the boxes.
  • Tap Clear data.


To clear the SSO cache on an Android device (Samsung Internet browser):

  • On your phone or tablet, head into your Settings and tap on Apps.
  • Tap on Samsung Internet
  • Select Storage.
  • Tap on Clear Cache to delete the browsing cache.


Note:  Above steps can be followed as well for Google Chrome or any other browsers available in an Android device


Troubleshooting


For any access issues, please ensure that you are trying the credentials directly into the SSO website. If there are issues with authentication, kindly reach out to your authentication team.
