Carpool Matching Guidelines

Whether you are new to carpooling or a seasoned carpooler, these guidelines will serve as your roadmap for a successful carpooling experience.

NOTE: If both carpoolers select the same role, even with matching departure and arrival details, they will not be matched.

Carpool Matching Scenarios

Screenshots below shows a Public ride matching, but roles assignment shown below also applies for Private Rides requests.

• If Carpooler 1 picks 'Rider' and Carpooler 2 picks 'Driver' Carpooler 1 stays as the Rider, and Carpooler 2 as the Driver, regardless of who initiated the request, and vice versa.

• If both carpoolers choose 'I don't mind' as their role, and Carpooler 1 submits the public ride request first, Carpooler 1 is automatically assigned as the driver.

• If Carpooler 1 chooses to be the 'Driver' and Carpooler 2 picked 'I don't mind', Carpooler 1 will automatically be assigned as the driver.

• If Carpooler 1 chooses'I don’t mind' and Carpooler 2 picks 'Rider' then Carpooler 1 will automatically be assigned as the driver.

Multiple Carpool Match Found

• Depending on availability, multiple carpool matches may be found.

• The number of matches will be displayed in the top‑left corner of the screen.

• Users can slide or swipe through the available options to review them.

• Once the preferred match is selected, tap Confirm to proceed with the carpool arrangement.
